A Dark Night

1 minutes
October 12, 2008

It was a dark night. Green stars dotted the sky. Fog rolled slowly across the ground, unhurriedly, gently proceeding.

Orange lines crossed the gloom, lighting, touching. The fog rolls, over the stands, more thickly now.

People sit together, surrounded with blankets and wrapped up warm against the night. They hold each other, waiting.

From the heavens, snow begins to fall. First one flake, then another, and another, shaped perfection. The people below look up and gaze. From up on high, the outside of the stadium can be seen.

People stand around blazing fires, dispersing the gloom. Solitary figures move between the fires, guided by torchlight.

Through the encroaching the mist, the orange laser strikes out. Turning and binding, the colours of the lasers break through.

Orange changes to red or blue and on occasion to yellow. An indeterminable amount of time passes.

Startling the silence, a drum beat sounds, and again. The rhythmic beats build to a crescendo. Louder and louder. All at once, an electric guitar rift pierces the surroundings.

Fireworks shoot upwards, exploding above the crowds. Red sparks, colours everywhere. Bright explosions. Fire rains across the sky to the earth. It was time. The concert had begun.
